My biggest passion in the world is to help people heal old wounds and, thus, embody more of the truly gorgeous beings they are.
And I’ll see your true colours
I see your true colours
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow.
From “True colours” by Cyndi Lauper
This passion sparkled a long time ago, while I was studying Social Work at university in Barcelona, during Psychology class. I remember distinctly two moments in which bright light bulbs went “ping!” in my head, and how fascinated I became with it all. I was only 19, but I learned tools that changed the way I viewed communication and emotions, tools that proved incredibly useful in my daily life.
So I became thirsty for more. I dug, explored, found and tried everything that tickled my curiosity, which was mostly to do with human relationships, intimacy, communication and emotional intelligence. I have dipped my toes in Non Violent Communication, The Work of Byron Katie, NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) and family constellations. My quest for more took me to the Findhorn Foundation, a spiritual ecovillage in the north of Scotland (for more on this inspiring community, go to www.findhorn.org). Living in Findhorn for seven years was like cooking in the best “self-development stew” ever. I have also done several ‘Love, Sex and Intimacy’ workshops with a wonderful organisation called the Human Awareness Institute (HAI), four couple’s Tantra workshops with The School of Awakening, and I have become familiar with a powerful tool for community conflict resolution called ‘The forum’ used by the German community of ZEGG.
The more I learned, the more I grew inside; and the more I matured, the happier I became. The repercussions in my life were phenomenal: easier, lighter, cleaner and deeper relationships, which lead to more joy, love and peace. To me, it was like a miracle: ‘Wow! I can heal this!’, and ‘Phew! I don’t need to carry that any more!’, and ‘Blimey! What a difference from a while ago!’ I often thought this stuff should be taught at school but, since it isn’t, I felt like shouting the good news from the rooftops.
Light exists at the end of the tunnel, just dare stepping forward in the shadow!
We don’t need to carry our pain all our lives and re-live it every time a button is pushed!
Peace is not a utopian dream, it’s an achievable possibility!
Healing IS possible!!!!
The more fulfilled I became, the more I wanted to share this magnificent knowledge with others.
This yearning lead me to taking an online coaching course. I wanted to learn how to pass this wisdom on to others. The course was based on the methods of renowned American life coach Tony Robbins, and it gave me the pompous title of ‘Strategic Intervention Life Coach’. One of the things I like most about Tony and the approach he has developed, is that he focuses on supporting change, and it gave me dozens of tools to shift blockages and generate outcomes. The biggest portion of the training was on couple relationships.
God help us to change.
To change ourselves and to change our world.
To know the need for it. To deal with the pain of it.
To feel the joy of it.
To undertake the journey
without understanding the destination.
The art of gentle revolution.

Motherhood, a fast track to enlightenment
Ever since I became pregnant, I found parenting to be the most challenging journey I have taken in my life. I was inspired by Attachment Parenting theories that advocate co-sleeping, baby wearing, breast feeding on demand and self weaning, and tried as much as I could to provide for my children’s every need. But, during the first few years, I found it was harder than I had ever imagined, specially the emotional side of it. Feelings that no one had prepared me for came up; feelings that were not nice or easy; feelings that would engulf me and terrify me. We don’t hear much about “the ugly side of parenting”, so in spite of my best efforts to do a good job, on the initial two or three years I often felt like I wasn’t doing well enough, confused and very alone.
Of course, me being passionate about personal growth, I took the opportunity every intimate relationship offers and learned and grew with my children. From the very beginning, motherhood has been for me a fast track to enlightenment.
I am with you, that I might heal.
You are with me, that you might heal.
We are together, that we might heal.
We are healing, that we might love.

My relationship with Aware Parenting
When our eldest turned six and we begun the schooling journey, it triggered a huge amount of anxiety in her. Having tried all sorts of things to help her, a friend recommended us to an Aware Parenting Instructor, Marion Rose (see www.marionrose.net). In a matter of months, our lives had been transformed. With Marion’s help I managed to get to a point where I was truly, for the first time in my life, deeply enjoying my mothering; I came to understand my daughter; I stopped being puzzled at every turn about the feelings that came up for us, and what to do about them; I felt inspired by the philosophy and empowered to apply it into my daily life; ultimately, it felt like I unlocked the potential for unconditional love in my heart.
No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite. Nelson Mandela
Aware Parenting drew lines from our (the parents’) childhoods, through our day to day, to our children’s emotions and reactions, which made the whole puzzle of our lives come together, the picture of our family and its emotions being clearer and making more sense than ever. Aware Parenting became the little boat of tools which helped us navigate through the often turbulent waters of daily life, helping us find sunny harbours. Aware Parenting brought all my years of personal and spiritual growth, my trainings as Social Worker and Life Coach, and my personal life as a mum, together into a beautiful organic whole. So when Marion suggested that I train as an Aware Parenting Instructor, it felt like all the previous steps in my life had been leading me to it; like I had been born to become one.
It is a privilege for me to accompany other parents in their journey, to share my passion for inspired parenting and all the other tools in my coaching toolbox, to support them in becoming the parents they want to be.
